I have been helping people look beautiful for
over 10 years. I have brought together some of the most common
questions my clients ask in a simple place for you to look through.
- How
long do you take to do hair and make up per person?
- Do you have any assistants?
- How do I book you?
- What kind of make up do you
use?
- My wedding is in the morning
and my photograper wants to take picture before the ceremony,
and I have 5 people to get ready. How early can you start?
- I am planning to get marry
in Maui island, do you travel?
- Do you do hair or make up
only, as well?
- Can you attend to me throughout
the day?
- Does the make up last long?
- What should I prepare to
touch up for my wedding?
- My mom wants to get her hair
and make up done, too. Is there a different price for mothers?
- Do you come to the hotel?
- How far in advance should
I book you?
- Are you good with oriental
eyes?
- When is the best time to
get a trial and where do I need to go?
- Do you only do weddings?
- I have a very long and curly
hair. Can you put it all up?
- You mentioned that you went
to make-up school. Don't all make-up artists and hair stylists
in Hawaii get their cosmetologist license?

Hey! NOOO problem!! The earliest wedding I
have done was 2:30 in the morning. I am used to waking up early
on Saturdays. Do not worry!

me, saying their make up lasted until the next morning.

11. My mom wants to get her hair and
make up done, too. Is there a different price for mothers?
I charge the same as for a bride's maid. While
brides often say their mothers don't put on any make up and
that a simple hair-do is fine, older people may have much finer
hair and more refined complexions. Therefore, their make-up
and hair requires just as much time and care, if not more. Besides,
mothers want to look as beautiful as possible on your special
day.

12. Do you come to the hotel?
Yes, I do.

13. How far in advance should I book
you?
I always recommend that you book with me as
soon as possible. Some people have booked me up to 2 years in
advance.

14. Are you good with oriental eyes?
Of course, since I have very very oriental
eyes. :-)
I went to make up school in Los Angeles after
I got a cosmetologist license here in Hawaii. I have studied
both Caucasian and American Indian skin tones and eye shapes.
For the past eleven years in Hawaii I have worked with up to
60 Japanese clients a month. Rest assured that I have extensive
experience with all facial types.

15. When is the best time to get a
trial and where do I need to go?
The best time is right before your wedding
date. It's best to get your trial at my studio, but if you are
new in Hawaii I can come to your location. Please don't forget
to bring your head piece!

16. Do you only do weddings?
I have done styling for a wide variety of
occasions, including TV, magazines, hotel brochures, and the
occassional Hollywood movie star. I do not limit myself, and
welcome opportunities in all areas.

17. I have very long and curly hair.
Can you put it all up?
Yes, I can. I have experience with all different
hair lengths and types.

18. You mentioned that you went to
make-up school. Don't all make-up artists and hair stylists
in Hawaii get their cosmetologist license?
Unfortunately, that is not the case. The vast
majority of stylists who work with brides in Hawaii do not have
their cosmetologist license, or any formal training. It is always
important to ask your perspective stylist if they have their
license, to avoid any bad experiences.
